How to Re-import a Deleted Patient

Modified on Thu, 19 Dec, 2019 at 2:07 PM

If a patient has been deleted from Blue Cherry by accident there is an easy way of getting this patient back. Blue Cherry will create a Backup patient file when it is deleted, the file type of the file needs to be changed from .bak to .grp and then it can be imported into Blue Cherry.

1. The patient is deleted.

2. Browse to C:\ProgramData\Geratherm Respiratory GmbH\DeletedPatients.

3. All patients deleted in Blue Cherry will be saved as a backup in a .bak format. These files are named using the Patient ID, Date Deleted, and Time Deleted.

4. Convert the file to a .grp (Patient File) by Right clicking and selecting ‘Rename’ and changing .bak to .grp, press the ‘Enter’ key on the keyboard.

5. A warning message will open stating that if you change the file name extension it may become unusable. Click ‘Yes’ to make the changes.

6. Open Blue Cherry and click the import Button

7. Browse to the location of the recently converted file (C:\ProgramData\Geratherm Respiratory GmbH\DeletedPatients), select the patient file and click ‘Open’.

8. The patient will be imported and will have all the data up until the point that it was previously deleted.
