If you have ordered Database Synchronisation as part of BlueCherry it is recommended you have one of our engineers perform this setup for you as we can ensure completion correctly, however it is understandable if a device is replaced that your IT team may wish to complete this installation.
You should already have installed the centralised database to your network, please request support for network configuration in the first instance if this is not already completed.
You will need to know the database server source, database name, and authentication method (either Active Directory, or you know the SQL Username and Password)
First install and activation BlueCherry as per installation instructions, choosing the Single Workstation Installation.
Before continuing, we always recommend a backup of the Master Database, entering the details incorrectly can damage your central database
Then perform the following steps:
- Navigate to the Setup Menu of BlueCherry in the top bar of the software.
- Click the Advanced button
- Click General tab
- Click Database Synchronisation button
- Choose the mode you require as per your type of system.
- Chose time of Synchronisation, most commonly done Manually (Manual)
- Settings, chose to download the master settings from the central database or not.
- Patient to Use, defines how the sync should decide which set of patients to overwrite.
- Deleting Patients will synchronise if patients have been deleted.
- Click Synchronisation Database, here you will enter the details of your central database server.
