Clearing Network Patient Cache

Modified on Fri, 9 Feb at 9:33 AM

This article will show you how to delete patients from the cache that are currently open on other workstation.

When a patient is already loaded on a computer and you want to open this patient on a different computer you will get a message similar to this pop up:

1) To clear this message and clear the cache from another work station firstly you will need to click the set up button at the top of the screen:

2) When in the set up menu you will need to click the advanced button at the bottom of the menu:

3) Once in the advanced settings you will need to go into patient data(1) and then into patient cache(2) and then click the perform button on clear cache(3):

4) When you have clicked perform you will be given a window with a menu like this:

5) When you are here you will need to select the box that is in the in the same section as delete, for all the patients you wish to remove from the cache then press accept:

6) You may be prompted with this warning message (see below) if a patient you are trying to clear is an active, currently selected patient on the other workstation because if you clear the patient while in use then they may lose the last test they completed, due to the patient still awaiting upload to the database.

You need to make sure that the patient is currently not being used else where before you clear the cache:

7) When you have established the patient is no longer in use you can click yes and now the patient will be cleared from the cache from the other workstation and will be available for you to open on your device.
