For the synchronization, the measured delay of O2 and CO2 is mainly responsible. However, it is also important that the patient exhales sufficient gas during synchronization (19% O2 and 2% CO2).
So, if you often test ill patients, ensure your software is on v1.3.2.0 higher if necessary (contact us to arrange upgrade options). If this has also occurred in healthy patients or athletes, it may also be due to the following.
- humidity in the tubes or sensor
- nafion and filter should be replaced
- bad gas calibration
- old / bad O2 cell
- problems with the tubes inside the Ergostik
