Gas Calibration Failure

Modified on Thu, 28 Nov, 2019 at 11:35 AM

No Gas values detected

Ensure Gas supply is in the ON position, see hand wheel for direction.

Check the cylinder contents dial on the regulator registers when the cylinder is opened.

Check that the Calibration gas tube is connected to the BLACK port on the back of the Ergostik box

If the Ergostik will still not perform a Gas Calibration this must be reported to Love Medical Ltd for further investigation

Gas Pressure too high Error

This problem may be seen if a Gas regulator has been dropped or knocked, the preset of the regulator can be moved slightly to cause this error message. To correct this problem it is necessary to remove the security cap on the front of the regulator to reveal the Hexagonal key bolt underneath. This will require a Hex Key size 6.0mm this will need to be turned slightly anticlockwise to reduce the Gas outlet pressure of the regulator. Move one quarter turn and then retest gas calibration. If Calibration is successful replace brass cover cap. If not successful, repeat step 1 until calibration passes.

Gas Pressure too low error

As with the above error, this can be caused by disturbance of the Regulator Output Pressure Adjuster. Remove the brass cap covering the adjuster, and turn the adjuster CLOCKWISE one quarter turn.

Perform another Gas Calibration after each adjustment & repeat process until Gas Calibration passes. Replace brass cap securely, being careful not to move the adjuster while doing so.

N.B Love Medical Ltd recommends the safe storage of Gas cylinders in order to prevent damage to regulators due to a cylinder being bumped, or toppled over.
